HKCIHA is happy to announce the approval and endorsement of 2025 Summer Hong Kong Women’s Ice Hockey League (HKWIHL), organized by Women’s Ice Hockey Organization (WIHO).
HKWIHL is currently the only officially sanctioned league by HKCIHA. Without HKWIHL we would not be able to have the Hong Kong, China Women’s Ice Hockey Team (HKCWIHT). Under the ice hockey world governing body, the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) requires a Minimum Participation Standard (MPS). Under the MPS there are many guidelines and a proper league is one of them. With HKWIHL, it allows HKCWIHT to perform on the world’s stage such as the World Championships or Olympic Qualifications etc.
With summer here, HKWIHL is for the first time having the HKWIHL Summer League! This is to help continue the growth and development of women’s ice hockey here in Hong Kong, China.
