[Hong Kong, May 23, 2025] A historic moment for ice hockey in Hong Kong! Hong Kong, China has successfully won the bids to host three prestigious events of the 2026 International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) tournaments, including the Men's World Championship, the Women's World Championship and the Men's Under-18 World Championships . This milestone achievement marks a new chapter in the development of ice hockey in our city!

A Triumphant Bid Journey - The application process is exciting
男子18歲以下世錦賽：首輪投票與土耳其票數相同，經第二輪投票後，香港以（54.55%得票率）成功勝出對手土耳其，展現國際冰球界對中國香港的信任與支持！
女子世錦賽：中國香港首輪亦以（54.55%比45.45%得票率）力壓對手立陶宛，為本地女子冰球注入強心針！
男子世錦賽：雖然以唯一申辦單位參與競投，最終亦需投票通過主要委員支持，投票最終以100%全票數通過全體委員支持，成功贏得主辦權，勢將掀起全城冰球熱潮！
Men's Under-18 World Championship (Division IIIA): In a closely contested first-round vote, Hong Kong tied with Turkiye. After a second round, Hong Kong emerged victorious with 54.55% of the votes, demonstrating the trust and support of the international ice hockey community for Hong Kong, China!
Women’s World Championship (Division IIB): Hong Kong, China secured the bid, triumphing over Lithuania in the first round with 54.55% of the votes, a resounding endorsement for women’s ice hockey in Hong Kong.
Men's World Championship (Division IIIB): As the sole bidder, Hong Kong, China still required approval from the IIHF Council Members together with participating nations. The bid received unanimous 100% support. The tournaments are set to ignite a city wide hockey frenzy!

此次成功申辦不僅是國際對中國香港舉辦盛事比賽能力的肯定，更為本地冰球運動創造難得機遇。賽事將吸引全球頂尖隊伍來港競技，讓市民近距離感受冰球魅力，同時帶動青少年參與，培育新一代冰球人才。香港冰球總會期望與政府、商界及各界緊密合作，確保賽事圓滿舉行，並希望透過一系列社區活動，深化冰球普及。
This successful bid is not only an international recognition of Hong Kong's ability to host major events, but also creates a rare opportunity for local ice hockey. The events will bring elite teams from around the world to compete in Hong Kong, allowing citizens the change to experience top-tier competition up close. Beyond the excitement, the events will inspire youth participation and nurture the next generation of ice hockey talents. Hong Kong China Ice Hockey Association looks forward to collaborating with the government, business partners and the community to ensure the successful holding of the events by delivering an unforgettable experience.
