Recruitment of Female Officials
The IIHF is proud to announce the first ever Regional Officiating Development Camp. This camp is designed for female officials and will be run alongside the Women’s Asia Championship which will be held in Japan this coming October. Space is limited and HKCIAH would nominate two officials (One primary and one alternate) to attend.
Here are the details:
Dates: 15 October (arrival by 15:00) through 19 October (departure – any time).
Location: Japan – Either Tokyo or Sapporo (final location to be confirmed).
Potential Candidates: Female officials from regional MNA’s.
IIHF is looking for officials with some experience but not top-level IIHF officials. The camp is designed to teach fundamentals of officiating with some advanced topics.
Total number of officials: 15-20 officials will be selected by IIHF.
Camp topics: Ice sessions focused on skating and technical aspects such as positioning. Classrooms sessions focused on rules, procedures, positioning and other officiating topics. The camp will also include attendance at the Asia Championship Games to watch and learn from the assigned IIHF officials.
Costs: HKCIHA is responsible for covering the cost of transportation to and from Japan. The IIHF will cover housing, meals and other items while at the camp.
Requirement:
Prefer candidates who currently live in Hong Kong and hold an HKID card, with a valid passport (at least 6 months remaining).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong command of spoken English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
