The Hong Kong, China Ice Hockey Association (HKCIHA) is pleased to announced and replied to Ice Hockey Australia (IHA) and Ice Hockey New Zealand (IHNZ) regarding our participation in the inaugural Youth Pan-Pacific Ice Hockey Series (October 10-13, 2025, Melbourne, Australia).
This historic inclusion marks a significant step forward for youth ice hockey development in Hong Kong, China, and the broader Asia-Pacific region. We extend our gratitude to IHA and IHNZ for their collaborative spirit and shared commitment to fostering elite junior talent, cross-cultural exchange, and the long-term growth of our sport.

Youth Player Development: Our delegation—comprising top-tier athletes born in 2010–2012, selected through rigorous domestic trials—will embrace this opportunity to compete at an international level, aligning with our vision and statement on the U16 elite program with our strategic goals for talent identification and high-performance pathways to develop our future Men’s U18 team.

Regional Collaboration: We echo the enthusiasm expressed by Presidents Ryan O’Handley (IHA) and Andy Mills (IHNZ) and look forward to strengthening ties with Oceania and other Asian federations in future editions.
We commend the visionary leadership of IHA and IHNZ in expanding this platform for the youth athletes development. Hong Kong, China’s participation underscores our dedication to youth excellence. Our youth athletes are eager to learn, compete, and build lasting bonds with regional peers. This event exemplifies the power of sport to unite and inspire the next generation.
